Tea Parties


Aside from being adorable what’s better than getting dressed up and sipping tea with snacks.

2. Make Healthy Mini Doughnuts

You will need:

This cake pop or mini doughnut maker – linked it HERE

  • 1/2 cup spelt flour
  • 1/2 cup plant based protein powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp. melted coconut oil
  • coconut oil spray ( for the doughnut maker)
  1. Mix all together + spray the doughnut maker well and pour in batter, wait until top can easily be opened ! * option to add blueberries or chocolate chips*
  2. When the cake pops are baked roll in maple syrup or melted icing and coat in sprinkles – layer them in a pan for easier rolling.

3. Coloured Foam

You Will Need:

  • 1/4 cup tearless shampoo or bubble bath * used THIS one as it is already coloured
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • Blender

Blend on HIGH until stiff peaks form and soap becomes like thick foam – so fun.

4. Homemade Playdoh

What You Will Need:
– 1 cup flour
– 1/2 cup salt
-1/2 cup warm water
– Washable Paint to color – HERE

What to Do:
– Mix and Knead the flour salt and warm water together until a dough forms – add more water if too dry. When dough is formed divide into 3 separate balls and add a teaspoon of the washable paint in and start to mix in – continue kneading until color is evenly distributed through entire play doh balls * side note our play doh table is from Mutable HERE

5.Sand in a Bin

Use any bin you have this one was nice because its low to the ground – also this Kinetic sand HERE is nice because it doesn’t get everywhere. We don’t have a lot of cars or dump trucks in this house but you can definitely make this a excavators dream land.

6. Baking!

It may be the MOST messy cake you have ever made but at least the kids are getting involved and learning major life skills along the way! I have tons of amazing baking recipes on my blog here is one of our favourite muffin recipes

7. Walks + Toboggan Rides

Getting fresh air really breaks up the day!

I hope these ideas help a little bit. I know its hard to be stuck inside and if you live on the prairies its COLD. So these are just a few things we can do while we are helping to flatten the curve and stay home. I hope you are all staying healthy + happy
